Dolores Niles

MALTA- Dolores Niles passed away on December 2nd, 2018, at the Hi-Line Retirement Center in Malta, Mont.

There will be no services held at the request of Dolores. Cremation took place at the Kirkwood Funeral Home in Malta. Condolences for the family may be left at http://www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com.

Dolores was born on July 12, 1929 to Frances and Ed Hauger in Malta and grew up on their homestead East of Wagner. She was a true cowgirl and loved riding horses at a young age and through her adult life. Dolores was known for her wranglers, western snap front shirt and cowboy boots even in her days at the Hi-Line Retierment Center.

She married Glenn C. Hoover and they ranched North of Malta. Dolores and Glenn divorced and she married John Niles. They lived North of Saco and Dolores started her career in the restaurant business both as cook and manager. She owned O'Brian's cafe in Saco for several years then ran the Sleeping Buffalo Cafe and the Buffalo Barn.

Dolores was a great cook and enjoyed the years she spent sharing some of her favorite dishes with friends and family. Dolores was a hard worker, loved her family, enjoyed old western movies and listening to country music.

Dolores is survived by her son, Bruce G. Hoover (Lois) from Havre, Rick (Dianna) Hoover from Sheridan Wyo., Steve (Lorrie) Niles from Billings and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Bill and Bob Hauger and infant daughter Shawne
