One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News and Opinion for December 19, 2019

Sympathy to homeless people everywhere in this cold.

Get well to Linda Berg. Hello to Lindsay from Canada, who is helping Linda for a while.

Welcome to Dakota Taylor and family who are former residents of Whitewater who recently returned to town.

Congratulations to Jeanie Green for winning a gift certificate from KMMR radio.

Gail, my daughter, came to Whitewater to take me to Malta to shop. First, we had dinner at the North 40, as Wednesday is senior meals.

Thanks from the town, especially the Lutheran Church, for using the snow plow to clear the snow. Hoyt Hellie was the snowplow driver. Good job!

Basketball season is in full swing all over. Congratulations to the Whitewater Penguins, combined with the Mavericks, for their hard work.

Jeanie Green went to Miles City for her grandchildren‘s basketball games. What a long drive.

Recently, I went to a Christmas program at the newly built Community Church in Malta. My twins, the Seiwings, were in the program. Their pastor has six boys and a girl. How fun!

Whitewater School had a Christmas program on December 11, 2018. It was very nice and was well attended. It was followed with cookies and a visit from Santa!

The Lutheran Church Christmas program was Sunday, December 16, during church. A potluck will followed.

Whitewater Lutheran Church has candlelight Christmas Eve service on Christmas Eve, at 4 p.m. All are welcome.

Weather here in Whitewater is sunny with above zero temps. But we do have snow. We hope the weather conditions are good for those traveling. Drive careful.

Merry Christmas to all! Also a happy new year!

As always,

Helen A.
