Terrie Lyn Green (Craven)

Mill Creek, WA - Terrie Lyn Green (Craven) passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at the age of 62. She is reunited with her love and in her words "soul mate", Wayde. In addition to Wayde, she is also preceded in death by her father Roy II, nephew Kirk, sister Patty, and father-in-law Roger.

She is lovingly remembered by her son Jeff (Christina) Green, daughter April (Joe) Craig, and niece Amy (Ryan Preston) Craven. Terrie and Wayde helped in raising Amy throughout her life and loved her as a daughter. She is also remembered by her Mother Jean Ann Craven, sisters Penny (Jack) Lind, Linda Craven, Peggy (Kirk) Norris, Pam Skogen, Tammie Peterson, and brother Roy Craven, III. Mother-in-law Myrna Green and sisters-in-law Karen (Mike) Lyon & Kim Green. 8 grandchildren Josiah, Seth, Isaac, Gideon, Ellie, Grace, Ra'mya & Ryan Royce as well as a full family of very loved nieces and nephews.

Terrie was born on an Air Force Base in Berderop Park, England. She grew up in a big Air Force family being right in the middle of eight kids. They landed in the end in Great Falls, Mont., where she grew up most of her life. She met Wayde Green in high school and married two weeks after graduating at 18. They quickly had two kids, a house they loved and worked hard to make a home. They lived there in the same house until Wayde's death in 2001. Terrie had started her Associate's degree in Great Falls a year before Wayde's passing. Finding herself at the age of 45 when he passed, Terrie moved to Kirkland, Wash., to pursue her Bachelor's as a Registered Dietician from Bastyr University. She loved her work: first with eating disorders patients and then with dialysis patients. She would be quick to claim to anyone eating at her house, "I'm not the food police". She was tenacious in life with an ongoing love to learn, pursuing her Master's degree and choosing to stop that path after being diagnosed with Ovarian cancer. She was diagnosed 3 years ago and had a very good quality of life up until the end.

Terrie's faith was first in her life. She had a lifelong commitment to learn and grow in her faith with the understanding she always had more to learn. In February traveling with her church to Jerusalem and seeing the Holy Land, she achieved a long-term goal. In her faith, she felt a strong peace in her approaching death. She believed in the hope of heaven and being reunited with the people she loved.

A Celebration of Terrie's life was held at Mill Creek Foursquare Church in Mill Creek, Wash., on Monday, December 17. Burial and memorial reception will be held in Great Falls on January 12, 2019, at Highland Cemetary, 1 p.m.
