NOTICE OF ACCEPTING BIDS

The City of Malta will be accepting bids for the lease of city owned properties for grazing and pasturage. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, marked “lease bid”. All bids must be received in the city office by 4pm February 11, 2019. All leases will be for three years and begin on January 1, 2019 and terminate on December 31, 2021. Leases 1, 2, 3, 4 have a $100.00 per year minimum bid and lease 5 has a $50.00 per year minimum bid. For more information, contact City Hall at 654-1251

1. Approximately 14 acres south of Hillcrest Addition. Grazing allowed May 15 to September 1.

2. Approximately 14 acres south and west of Hillcrest Addition. Grazing allowed May 15 to September 1.

3. Approximately 34 acre tract at the “old” landfill. Grazing allowed April 1 to June 30 and the month of September.

4. Approximately 42.55 acres – new landfill area. Grazing allowed May 15 to September 1.

5. Approximately 5 acre tract located south of Malta between Short Oil Road & 5th Ave. East, Phillips County. Grazing allowed May 15 to September 1.

Lessee shall not assign the lease or sub-lease any portion of Lessee’s interest in said land(s).

PUBLIC NOTICE FOR OPERATING ASSISTANCE

This is to notify all interested parties that the PHILLIPS TRANSIT AUTHORITY is applying for $147,022.00 under the Montana Department of Transportation’s Operating Grant Program 5311. Funding will be used for operating expenses associated with providing transportation services to the general public, elderly and persons with disabilities within Phillips County.

The application is on file at 311 S. 8th. Ave. E., Malta, MT. If requested, a public hearing will be held and public notice indicating the location, date and time of the hearing will be provided. PUBLIC NOTICE FOR CAPITAL ASSISTANCE

This is to notify all interested parties that PHILLIPS TRANSIT AUTHORITY is applying for $225,000.00 through the Capital Assistance Grant. The Capital Assistance Grant is funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and administered by the Montana Department of Transportation. FTA funds will be used to build a bus barn to shelter our fleet from the elements.
