One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for November 20, 2019

Again, congratulations to my granddaughter, Challise Young, on her engagement! Wow! Her intended is named Tim, and he works for a lumber company in Bozeman, Mont. He intends to go back to college soon and Challise will give me more information later, as plans are made. Best wishes to them.

Pastor Bob Nagy’s daughter, Erika, is attending acting and music college in New York! Best of luck to her. Pastor Nagy and his wife, Julie recently took her to the Big Apple. They went to football games and visited people on their return trip. Welcome back to them.

The US Government seems to be in such chaos. Pray for peace.

Merry Christmas, Whitewater …haha …there is already two or three inches of snow here! It has been cold for mid-November. If this keeps up, it will be a loooonnnggg winter. Let’s hope the weather gets better, at least for a little while.

There were good basketball games here in Whitewater at the school last week. Games were of the jamboree variety and both the junior and high school teams played. Snacks and taco soup were served on the day.

Last Thursday, Gale (daughter) came to get me and we went swimming in Saco. I sat in the hot pool and loved it.

It is good to see the Villa Theatre open and running again. Good luck to them. When I was in elementary school in Whitewater, they took us to the theatre on a school bus — then the Palace — as a reward for achieving good grades. One movie I remember was Disney’s Cinderella which was in color. We are thought it was great and really enjoyed it (I won’t say how long ago that was.)

Note: The North 40 in Whitewater has a library. You can bring a book and take a book. There are plenty of books to choose from. Enjoy.

If you have news, call me at 406-674-5576 and let it ring. I don’t get around to gather much news in the winter, so your phone calls are appreciated.

Keep warm,

Helen A.
