The Glasgow York Rite Masons were started in the first part of the 20th century. Due to lack of participation things were quiet for a number of years until Doc Curtis suggested moving the chapter to Malta. With the help of the Grand Chapter of Montana, numerous members of Malta Lodge became members of York Rite. These new members travelled to Lewistown and Great Falls to receive their degrees. They were then installed in Malta on November 23, 2019.
