One Nation, Under God

Loring News for December 2, 2020

Happy December! The last month if 2020! It has been an interesting year that's for sure! Hope you readers are well and living a safe life!

The antelope are gathering into herds of approximately 100 individuals! I think there are three herds between Loring and Malta. I'm not sure how that translates into weather forecasts. You know, the larger herds the colder, more snow, longer, or is it the other way?

I've been watching for the snowy owls but haven't seen any yet. Also I'm hoping to spot some cedar waxwings in my Russian olive trees. We’ll see when they come.

The beaver full moon has made a spectacular showing on Sunday evening! Just beautiful!

My grandkids from Billings accompanied their parents to the north country to visit their Grandma Dixie for Thanksgiving! We had two feasts up at the old Cowan farm with Rod and Jeannie acting as hosts!

Many families enjoyed sledding this last week! The snow got really soft then hardened and made for good sledding.

I think most people in the area had a quiet Thanksgiving weekend, without any large gatherings.

Tina Russell spent a day with her Mother in the HLRC helping her decorate for Christmas, and write out her cards! So satisfying after not being able to be in the same room. They still social distanced and wore masks. Tina Russell rode the train to visit her husband in Piegan where he is working temporarily!

The Loring Lutheran church will have advent services at 9:00 every Sunday until Christmas and will have Christmas Eve services at 5:30. The Angels will be put on the tree on the first Sunday of December.

Be kind to one another!
