One Nation, Under God

My day with Lincoln; PJ is a second grader!

Last Wednesday was the first day of school for my oldest son and new second-grader, PJ. I also had the privilege of staying at home with my youngest son Lincoln, a three-year-old.

Lincoln is an inquisitive young lad, who asks over 200 questions a day. Though I used to joke about a talkative person trying to talk underwater, I almost fell over when Linc told us about a scare that he had on a water slide. He said, “I tried to talk underwater.” Thankfully, mom was there to pick him up out of the water.

There was a time in PJ’s life where I thought he talked a lot. This was until Lincoln started talking. Now, PJ can’t get a word in.

I took Lincoln to Albertsons the other day, and he told his life’s story to everyone that would listen.

My youngest son is a mama’s boy, but it was nice to hang out with him that day. We watched a few kids’ shows, ran around town, and played until PJ came home from school, and Susan came home from work.

I believe that PJ enjoyed his first week of school. His only complaint seemed to be that everyone was set to play with some sort of glider toy at recess instead of hanging out. He comes home really sleepy, I believe due to the amount of mental and physical exercise that he gets every day.

Luckily for us, PJ seems to enjoy learning and the social aspect of school. We don’t quite know what we will get from Lincoln, but he enjoyed the meet and greet one day before classes started. He seems to enjoy the idea of school. We will see, because he will be in pre-school next fall!

Time flies.

Might as well give an update on the dog we call Bruce Leroy… He is a good dog! Except for the wear and tear he is putting on my backyard.

Some days he doesn’t mind the deer attempting to play with him along the fence in our backyard, other days he charges at them and scares them away. Turd.
