The North Country Lady Mavericks opened the season with a pair of wins last weekend at the Glasgow Class C Showcase.
The team, which finished the 2020 postseason as the Class C Runner-up, defeated the Plentywood Wildcats 41-35 in their opening game of the season on Friday, December 3. Then they defeated the Richey-Lambert Fusion 58-17 on Saturday, December 4.
The Mavericks are scheduled to travel to Lewistown for the Fergus Holiday this weekend to square off against Fort Benton, who defeated the Mavs 74-60 for the Class C State Title at the state tournament last March. The game against Fort...
