One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, December 29, 2021

Happy new year to all my readers.

As I write this the temperature is -17 with a wind chill of -37. Unfathomable to most people. I am staying in today. But I look out and see some of the sharp tail grouse hunkered down in the pine trees. Their feathers are fluffed out to trap the air to help them stay warm.

Every day this week it seems snow has blanketed the grassland. We don’t have a huge amount, but every bit of moisture is welcome!

All the Lumsden girls were at Pete and Carol Lumsdens for Christmas! What excitement with all the grandkids! A good day or two!

I was a guest of Tina and Charles Russell at Port of Morgan for Christmas dinner. Janet Johnston was a guest also. We had some really good food and lots of laughs!

The Loring community is mourning the death of David Clark who passed away on the 26th. Sympathy to Cindy, Kenny and Brenda and the grandkids and Becca and Robert Engum. Your days will be full of memories.

A shout out to Carol Kienenberger this Christmas as I look at the darling Santa tea pot I have on my table! She gifted it to me a few years ago.

Fran and Steve Noreen of Cut Bank were Christmas holiday guests of TJ and Char Wasson. Also I saw Kia Wasson was home from Butte, America! She said college is going good! Beau Simonson is also at home from MSU! Grades are good! Or should I say perfect? Great to see them! Blessings for a great 2022! I feel that it will be a great year.

Be kind and watch the planets, Jupiter in the Southwest at sunset. Saturn higher in the sky, a yellow color.
