It was a tough week for Phillips County boys varsity basketball teams.
The Malta Mustangs fell 71-50 to the Rocky Boy Stars on Thursday, January 6, in Rocky Boy.
The Dodson Coyotes fell 55-35 to Roy-Winifred on Friday, January 7, in Dodson. The Coyotes also lost to the Poplar Indians 71-41 in Poplar on Saturday, January 8.
The Mavericks lost a pair of games, first falling 55-27 to the Glasgow Scotties in Glasgow on Thursday, and then 64-31 to the Scobey Spartans on Friday.
In Malta's loss to Rocky Boy, the Mustangs were unable to overcome a 20-4 deficit in the first quarter. Rocky Boy also...
