Wrestlers at Chinook Mixer

This week was a little rough for our group of wrestlers'. We're battling injuries quite a bit. Camryn Mears was out this weekend with an ankle injury, and Kohner Shipman was out with an elbow injury. We also have injuries that the kids are fighting through and wrestling with as well anyways, and I feel those aches and bruises showed through with the results we had this weekend. Hopefully with Harlem being canceled, it will give the wrestlers some time to recover and come out swinging for the Malta tournament this weekend!

Colton Mears had a great weekend! He went 2-0 with one of his wins being to Cade Ball who has previously beat him before. I imagine that had to make him feel pretty good and hopefully boost some confidence in him as we dwindle towards the end of our season. Colton had a tough week in practice this last week, we really had him try and focus on his weaknesses and some common mistakes he has been making. That's not easy to correct, but I think he made some positive changes and it showed this weekend. We also gave him our Wrestler of the Week award. Our Quick Pin award went to Taylin Johannessen over Austin Haugen of Big Sandy, and the Most Exciting Match went to Colton Mears with a win over Cade Ball of Fort Benton.
