Local winning entries who participated in the VFW Patriots Pen were recently recognized. In an assembly before their peers the youth were awarded a certificate, a medallion and cash awards. Selected as honorable mention was Sonny Gray, third place was Layla Messerly, with second place going to Neva Anderson. The first place entry was penned by Lola Snell.
The theme this year was "How Can I Be A Good American?" The competition is held annually and the Post 4067 is appreciative of the support of Mrs. Shyla Clausen at Malta Middle School. All four entries advanced to District level competit...
