One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, May 4, 2022

Happy May Day! Did any of you get flowers at your door? Did you catch your secret May Day deliverer? That used to be the funnest little race not to get caught!

The gopher shoot was this weekend! Kenny Clark reported that 6459 critters were executed today! Twenty two person teams entered the contest and I’m sure everyone had fun! Alan Snider and Hoyt Mahon won with the most kills. Second place was Layne Engel and Tyler Anthony, with third place going to Jalen Lamb and Tyson Dowell.

I’m in Billings for a few more days for rehab on my new knee. I would say it was pretty painful, but has gotten better every day. When I was getting my IV the person putting the needle in and threading it through the vein was none other than Art and Danny’s sister. She graduated in ‘75 from Malta. And her name is Jeannie! A very caring person who took her job seriously! Thank you, Jeannie!

So I got moved over to rehab 24 hours after my surgery, and started a serious job of my own! Rehabilitation on my knee. One and a half hours a day of physical therapy and occupational therapy! Wow! My arm really aches as I write this! LOL

This facility is the Rehabilitation Hospital of Montana. It’s down on Hesper off Zoo Lane. It is new within the last few years.

Cindy Clark traveled to Chico Hot Springs and Spa for a ministerial retreat on Tuesday and got back on Friday. She had a very good time. The junior high track meet was well attended in Malta on Saturday. Most everyone who likes music attended the school concert on Thursday. It was delightful! Rana Jesson videoed it and put it on Facebook so I could enjoy it too!

Whitney Blunt hosted the Loring Woman’s Club on Wednesday. I haven’t heard much about it yet.

Happy birthday to Everette Blunt who celebrated at the Sleeping Buffalo Resort!

Also I just want to add that Tracy Hanley’s best friend, Mary, in second grade was my occupational therapist today! Such a small world!

Congratulations to all the graduates, especially Trace Simonson who graduated on May 1 from Rocky Mountain University. His family and several pairs of grandparents, a few aunts and uncles joined his celebration!

Be kind!
