AUDIT PUBLICATION STATEMENT

An audit of the affairs of the Whitewater Public School, Whitewater, Montana, has been conducted by Denning, Downey and Associates CPA’s. The audit covered the fiscal year ended June 30, 2021.

Section 2-7-521, MCA, requires the publication concerning the audit report include a statement that the audit report is on file in its entirety and is open to public inspection at 117 1st Ave. W, Whitewater, Montana 59544. The Whitewater Public School will send a copy of the audit report to any interested person upon request.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED FY22 BUDGET AMENDMENT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Phillips County, Montana intends to amend the budget for the 2022 fiscal year and that said budget amendment affects the following functions: general government; fair, alcohol rehab, aging, and sheriff retirement system.

The purposed amendment will be due to the unanticipated revenue received from the State, Federal and other sources due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other grants. Details are open to public inspection in the office of the County Clerk, 314 S 2nd Ave W, Malta, Montana.

The Board will meet on the 8th day of August, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. for the purpose of holding a public hearing and consideration of the amendment to the original budget. Said hearing is to be held in the Commissioners’ Office in the Phillips County Courthouse, 314 S 2nd Ave W, Malta Montana.

Any taxpayer or resident may appear at the hearing and will be heard for or against any part of the proposed budget amendments.

Written comments are encouraged and will be reviewed by the Commissioners if received by the Phillips County Commissioners’ Office at least three business days prior to the hearing.

TOWN OF DODSON

PUBLIC HEARING TO APPLY FOR CDBG GRANT FUNDING

The Town of Dodson will hold a public hearing on August 1, 2022, at 6:30 pm at the Parish Hall – Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Dodson, MT 59538. The purpose of the hearing is to obtain public comments regarding the Town’s overall community development needs (public infrastructure & facilities, economic development, and housing), including the needs of low and moderate-income persons. The Town of Dodson will also seek the views of citizens on the activities that should be undertaken to meet the identified needs and their relative priority. The Town may apply for funding from the Montana Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program (federal funding administered by the Montana Department of Commerce) and other state and federal funding sources to address housing, public facilities, or other community needs. The Town wants its residents to comment and offer suggestions for projects to address the most urgent needs. Comments may be given orally at the hearing or submitted in writing by August 1, 2022, at 5:00 pm.
