One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, January 18, 2023

Sympathy to all the flood victims in California and other places.

Get well to Pat Murdock of Whitewater. She was in Billings but is home now.

Sympathy to the family of Annaleise Harms who passed away in Shelby. She was a resident of the Hi-Line Retirement Home until it closed. It is sad how many residents of Phillips County had to move from the Hi-Line.

Whitewater has 2 visitors. They are coyote hunters from Maryland and

Minnesota. They came a long way to kill coyotes, who are almost starving in the winter (poor animals).

The hunters are staying at the “the cottage” of Jeanie Green.

Saturday Jeanie and I went to the Sleeping Buffalo to swim. I just sit in the hot tub. It is great, but lots more expensive than when I grew up.

Whitewater school always had school picnics there.

Coming home from Sleeping Buffalo, we saw a herd of antelope by the side of the road, migrating south, (they are so smart)!

There is no food, as the grass is covered with snow.

To the farmers and rancher, please leave hay out for the deer and the antelope.

The Whitewater Penguins/Mavericks hosted the Malta teams last Tuesday.

Congratulations to all teams in Phillips County.

Take Care!

Helen A.
