Two New Board Members Elected for Malta Schools

Voters responded in good numbers for the Tuesday, May 2, 2023, school board election. The election was conducted by mail-in ballot voting.

Approximately 60% of voters mailed in their choice for the election.

Angel DeVries amassed 780 votes and Katey Marquis received 685 votes to win the election according to the unofficial count provided by the Malta School District Office. Incumbent Justin Lamb received 265 votes.

The votes will be canvassed at the next board meeting on May 10. Votes become official at that time.
