Though they fell 3-2 to the Wildcats, the team bounced back on Saturday, September 2, and took second place at the Chinook Invitational, falling to 0-2 Chinook in the finals, after defeating five of six opponents.

“Better reaction time on defense and our passing on serve receive helped propel us into the Championship game,” Mavericks Head Coach Charlene Wasson said.

In their championship game the scores were 21-25 and 21-25. To reach the championship, the Mavericks defeated Cut Bank 25-21 and 25-15 and then Roy/Winifred 25-21 and 25-15 in the semifinals.
