One of our very own, Wanda Bushman, has begun a battle with stage 1 lobular carcinoma, a form of breast cancer.
Wanda is our office manager at the Phillips County News and worked at the Harlem Elementary School for many years. She is the mother of six adults, and grandmother of six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Wanda had a mammogram in June of 2023 which was an abnormal mammogram, from there a biopsy had detected the cancer.
Wanda will have a lumpectomy with partial lymph node removal the last week of October and begin radiation mid-November for three weeks, every single day.
