    The annual AAU middle school and high school national duals were held in Des Moines, Iowa April 6th and 7th and Malta had four wrestlers who qualified to compete in this national dual tournament – Kohner “Chaka” Schipman, Straud Sims, Trooper Stiles, and Lane Spencer.     The Malta Mustang Wrestling Club concluded their folkstyle season of wrestling this past weekend at the Metra in Billings with the Montana Open wrestling tournament. The Montana Open is the largest wrestling tournament held in the state of Montana with 2,113 wrestlers from over 180 teams showing up to wrestle.     Three Malta Mustang wrestlers qualified to represent Montana and wrestle for Team Montana in the national duals held in Des Moines, Iowa this past weekend. Kohner "Chaka" Schipman (sophomore) and Straud Sims (freshman) wrestled for the freshman/sophomore team and Lane Spencer (7th) was on the middle school team.     The Malta Mustang AAU Wrestling Club ended their season at the Metra in Billings at the Montana Open March 24-26. There were over 2,400 wrestlers in attendance from Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota and Idaho as well as many other states. Our kids finished the season with a lot of heart and determination.
