    This year, Joyce Erickson, Librarian Assistant at Saco Public Schools applied for and received a grant to purchase library books to allow students Grade 2-8, from the Montana Masonic Foundation. The grant gives Saco Public School the ability to have books available for science fair projects and reports.     Though Malta did not host a high school meet this year, Mustang field saw plenty of action last Saturday, May 5, as fourteen teams showed up for the 2018 Malta Middle School Invitational. Malta seventh-grader, Kylee Nelson won her heat in the 100-meter dash. Twice. "I think they didn't start their clocks in time," Nelson said of the first race.     The Malta Golf team participated in the 2018 Class B Division I Divisional meet in Glasgow on Monday, May 7. Malta's Grayson Waters and Chloe Hunter qualified for the 2018 State B Meet in Shepherd at the divisional meet. In another meet, Saco's Jada Sudbrack qualified for the Class C State Meet.     The 2018 Whitewater High School track meet is in the books, which is something that didn’t look like a possibility earlier this spring. “It dried up finally,” Whitewater Head Coach Charlene Wasson said. “The snow went away and the wind came.
