Last Saturday the Malta Athletic Club and Malta Public Schools hosted the 2017 Malta Middle School Invitational on a day that featured several teams from around the area. The young Malta Colts fared well in the running events. In her first home meet, Maddie Williamson won her heat of the 100 hurdles that featured two other Colts. Her time was 20.70 seconds. The Malta Golf Team participated in the Northern B Golf Divisional in Shelby last Monday. Sophomore Kloie Marks will see her first state tourney as an individual golfer. With the track season winding down, the North-East Top Ten Meet gave local coaches a good glimpse of how their top performers fared against other top athletes. The meet was held despite cold and rainy conditions at Glasgow High School on Tuesday, May 2.
