One Nation, Under God

Loring News for week of May 21, 2014

Congratulations to the county graduates! Whitewater held their cere-mony on Friday. Trace Simonson is an eighth grade graduate. Grandma Hallock of Sheridan, Krystal Olson and family, Susan Simonson and girls of Billings, and Leslie Simonson and family of Great Falls were here for graduation and the guys joined them later in the weekend.

On Saturday evening many people from northern Phillips County attend-ed the Distinguished Young Woman pageant in Malta. Three young la-dies Kourtney Simonson, Kaycee Howard and Kayla Howard were participating and won so many awards that we in the north country are bust-ing our buttons!

Loring Womans Club is at Amy Simonsons on Wednesday.

Carol Lumsden and Dixie Stordahl took part in the awards banquet on Thursday!

Carol Lumsden was able to get some granddaughter time on Saturday since Carmen and Matt Norville met in Glasgow to see each other and the girls! Carol says that Aubree is smiling already!

The Fire Hall fund raiser trap shoot was held on Saturday. Not many shooters were there early but I know they were practicing for a while. At least Loring has a trap area that works again! The burger grill was busy and the meal delicious! Thank you Kenny Clark!

Loring Lutheran church will be held on June 8 since next Sunday is the fourth Sunday of the month and the June 1, not too many people will be here including the minister and organist. Everyone is encouraged to at-tend church in another town.

I have been so excited about the different colors of birds that I have seen this weekend in our trees. I saw a rose breasted grosbeak, a bluejay, and an oriole! Plus the other birds that are here longer!
