August 9, 14

1:43am Deputy cited two juveniles for curfew violation; one transported to residence and second to PCSO to be picked up by a family member; case file started.

2:20am 911 received reporting a huge party out at Nelson Reservoir; Deputies responded to the call; party located and advised to shut it down.

3:07am Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 10am to 8pm tonight.

7:07am Reserve Deputy performed a welfare check on a vehicle with its door open at the Rest Area; all found to be okay, occupant was just sleeping with the door open.

8:56am Ambulance reported to the Trafton Arena for the Boots and Saddles rodeo.

9:53am 911 received reporting a possible assault in the Camp Creek campground area; Deputy and Reserve Deputy responded to the location; case file started; suspects left the area before Deputy arrival; information also passed onto BLM Ranger.

1:47pm Female reported a hit and run to her vehicle in Trafton Park; Reserve Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

2:08pm Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8pm.

3:07pm Female requested law enforcement assistance with moving a vehicle blocking the caller in at Trafton Park; caller had a medical emergency and needed to get to the hospital; local EMT Crew responded to the location; male occupant checked out and was okay.

7:43pm Lake Wind Advisory is canceled.

11:38pm Male reported a reckless driver on Hwy 2, eastbound, just out of Malta; Deputies responded to the call; vehicle located at a local convenience store; driver checked out and given warnings, advised to slow down.

August 10, 14

7:37am Female reported a semi truck “leaking something” on Hwy 2, east bound from Dodson; Reserve Deputy responded to the call; vehicle located and all found to be okay.

9:54am Male reported two stray dogs chasing his horses; Reserve Deputy responded to the call; dogs later located and removed from the area; owner not located.

10:15am Male reported seeing kayaks lost off a vehicle near the Overpass on

Hwy 2; Reserve Deputy responded to the location; property had already been picked up by someone else. Sheriff’s note: found property that is kept by another and not turned in for recovery constitutes theft. Person(s) who recovered the kayaks need to report their location.

10:39am Female reported losing property off of her vehicle along Hwy 2 somewhere; Reserve Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

11:42am 911 received reporting a fire at the Hays Powwow; call transferred to Ft Belknap LE.

3:00pm Several 911s received reporting a vehicle in the ditch on Hwy 2, in Valley Co; all calls transferred to Valley Co SO.

4:41pm 911 received requesting an ambulance for a female who was bucked off of a horse in the Zortman area; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the hospital.

6:32pm 911 received requesting assistance for a motorcycle with a flat tire on Route 66, north of Hays; call transferred to Ft Belknap LE.

6:57pm Female reporting a male “shooting guns” in the Zortman area; Deputy handled the call.

August 11, 14

3:01am Male requested extra patrol around his residence; information passed onto Deputies.

6:33am Female reported a disabled vehicle on Hwy 2, near the Route 8 turnoff; information passed onto Ft Belknap LE.

12:37pm PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pickup from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew responded to the call.

12:52pm Male requested law enforcement assistance with a possible break-in situation; caller later reported the situation had been resolved, no further assistance needed.

1:22pm MT Dept of Transportation employee reported an abandoned vehicle near the Sleeping Buffalo rock; registered owner not located.

4:29pm Male reported seeing a small child in the back of a pickup truck in the Westside/Hwy 2 area; vehicle headed east on Hwy 2; Deputy responded to the call; information passed onto Valley Co SO; vehicle not located in Phillips Co.

4:56pm 911 received requesting assistance for a disabled motorhome in the Dodson area; local mechanic shop handled the call.

10:05pm Deputy performed a welfare check on a vehicle with its hazard lights on, on Hwy 2, west of Malta; all found to be okay, just waiting for help to arrive.

11:34pm Deputy received information regarding a civil disagreement between family members in the Saco area; individual just wanted it documented at this time.

August 12, 14

9:45am Female filed a complaint regarding a barking dog; Deputy handled the call.

10:14am PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a ground transport to Great Falls; local EMT Crew responded to the call.

11:23am Male reported a fender/bender at Albertson’s; Sheriff responded to the call; white forms issued.

1:55pm Male requested law enforcement assistance with an on-going civil dispute with his future ex-wife; Sheriff handled the call.

2:16pm MHP Dispatch reported a stranded motorist on Hwy 191, just north of the DY Junction and they would handle the call; just wanted us to be aware.

5:36pm 911 received requesting an ambulance in Lodgepole; call transferred to Ft Belknap LE.

8:28pm Individuals reported a suspicious vehicle driving slowly around their residence on 6th St E; Reserve Deputy responded to the call; vehicle not located.

8:42pm Female reported a juvenile was harassing another juvenile; Reserve Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

11:56pm Reserve Deputy performed security checks on buildings and businesses in the Saco and east Malta areas.

August 13, 14

12:32am Reserve Deputy performed security checks on buildings and businesses in Malta area.

9:48am Male reported damage to the fire hydrant near the car wash in Malta; information passed onto City employees.

1:56pm Male reported theft of a cooler from his vehicle in the Hillcrest area; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

3:33pm 911 received reporting a vehicle window had been shot out, on Hwy 191 north; Deputy responded to the location; window was not shot, had just shattered.

6:17pm Male reported a possibly injured bull in the Nelson Reservoir area; information also passed onto local Livestock Inspector; owner later located and checked on the bull.

7:13pm Valley Co SO received a report of a westbound vehicle on Hwy 2, driving erratically; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle located and citation issued.

7:49pm Female requested law enforcement assistance with a property line dispute with another family member; Deputy handled the call.

9:38pm 911 received reporting an attempted break-in to a vehicle in the downtown area; Deputy responded to the call; suspects not located.

11:11pm Female reported a disturbance in the 3rd St/3rd Ave area; Deputy and Reserve Deputy responded to both east and west locations; all found to be quiet in the areas.

August 14, 14

7:53am Female requested law enforcement assistance with a property line dispute with another family member; Deputy handled the call.

8:07am Local business reported theft of property; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

8:59am Male reported a reckless driver, eastbound on Hwy 2; Deputy and local MHP Trooper responded to the call; vehicle and driver located; MHP handled the call.

3:54pm Female requested law enforcement assistance with a property line dispute with another family member; Deputy handled the call.

5:12pm Several 911s received reporting a grass fire north of Hinsdale; calls transferred to Valley Co SO.

5:43pm 911 received reporting a disabled vehicle in the middle of Hwy 191 south of Malta; Reserve Deputy responded to the call; vehicle not located.

6:02pm Male reported another male being pulled on a skateboard by a vehicle in his neighborhood; Reserve Deputy responded to the 2nd St east area; male and two other individuals located and advised to stop.

6:29pm Male requested law enforcement assistance with a property line dispute with another family member; Reserve Deputy handled the call.

6:40pm Female requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving a juvenile; Reserve Deputy responded to the call; situation taken care of without further incident.

7:14pm Several calls received reporting a strong smell of smoke; callers advised no reported fires in Phillips Co.

7:37pm 911 received reporting a disturbance at the Cedarview Apts; individuals left the scene while caller was still on the 911; Reserve Deputy responded to the call; situation taken care of without further incident.

7:39pm Female reported receiving unwanted phone calls; Deputy handled the call.

August 15, 14

12:24am Male reported a vehicle accident on Black Coulee Rd; Deputy and Reserve Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

5:08am Female reported an alarm sounding at the Port of Monchy, Canada; information passed onto the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

5:19am PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pickup from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew handled the call.

6:50am Local EMT Crew reported to the PC Hospital for a ground transport to Billings.

Several calls received reporting a vehicle accident on Short Oil Road; callers advised had been reported.

8:16am Female reported finding a stray dog and took it to her residence; KMMR had been advised.

8:57am Female requested extra patrol around a residence.

12:34pm Female reported a reckless vehicle driving in the Saco area; Deputy responded to the area; all vehicles found to be driving the speed limit and not recklessly

1:36pm Female reported a missing dog; caller advised of the above reported found dog; dog and family later reunited.

1:56pm Significant Weather Advisory in effect until 3pm for central Phillips Co; penny sized hail and heavy rain is expected.

2:30pm Local MHP Trooper served two local warrants on an adult female, Christine Hawes; female incarcerated in PCSO Jail on Forgery-Misdemeanor and Issuing a Bad Check charges.

2:34pm Significant Weather Advisory in effect until 330pm for central Phillips Co; half inch sized hail, dangerous lightning and heavy rain is expected.

2:40pm Deputy incarcerated an adult female, Matilda Lawrence, in PCSO Jail on Violation of a Protection Order charges; case file started.

2:49pm Severe Thunderstorm Warning for central Phillips Co until 345p; quarter sized hail is possible.

3:26pm Female requested law enforcement assistance with a custody exchange; Deputy handled the call.

3:43pm Significant Weather Advisory for eastern Phillips Co until 430p; penny sized hail expected.

3:51pm Significant Weather Advisory for eastern Phillips Co until 445p; half inch diameter hail and heavy rain is expected.

4:55pm Deputy reported a vehicle had hit a power pole in the Westside Self Service area; NorthWestern Energy responded to the location; case file started.

5:00pm 911 received reporting an assault at a residence on the north side of town; Deputies responded to the location; case file started; citation issued for Assault and Trespass to Property.

5:02pm Significant Weather Advisory for southern Phillips Co until 6p; half inch diameter hail, dangerous lightning and heavy rain is expected.

5:35pm Female requested law enforcement assistance with another female who was harassing the caller; Deputy handled the call.

6:25pm Valley Co SO served a local warrant on an adult male, Scott Scheffelmear.

6:30pm Significant Weather Advisory for southwestern Phillips Co until 730p; nickel sized hail, 50mph gusts, heavy rain and frequent dangerous lighting are expected.

6:41pm Female reported a possible abuse situation; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

6:44pm Female, Christine Hawes, released from PCSO Jail on bond paid.

7:45pm Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect until 845p for southwestern Phillips Co; 60mph gusts are possible.

8:49pm Significant Weather Advisory for southeastern Phillips Co until 930p; 50mph gusts, heavy rain and frequent dangerous lighting are expected.

9:26pm Significant Weather Advisory for eastern Phillips Co until 1030p; 40mph gusts, heavy rain and frequent dangerous lighting are expected.

9:40pm Female reported vehicles driving through the mud puddles by the Pavilion; Deputy handled the call.

August 15, 14

11:08pm The Miner’s Club requested law enforcement assistance with removing a belligerent patron; Deputies responded to the call; case file started.

August 16, 14

12:21am Deputy transported one adult male, William Decelles, to PCSO to be incarcerated on a Blaine Co SO warrant and MHP warrant.

2:00am Deputy gave a juvenile a verbal warning for Curfew Violation and told to go home.

2:17am Female reported a barking dog at a neighbor’s residence; all found to be quiet in the reported area.

7:36am Female reported a dog inside of a vehicle in the downtown area; appeared to have been there all night; owner located and situation taken care of without further incident.

8:51am Male reported a situation that had occurred in the downtown area last night; caller was just letting PCSO be aware of the situation.

9:52am Blaine Co SO reported receiving several dropped 911s from an unknown cell phone; calls later traced to the northwest Dodson area; Deputy responded to the location; juvenile child advised to not play with 911 and only use for emergency purposes.

12:54pm Individuals requested law enforcement assistance with a custody exchange in Malta; Deputy handled the call.

5:31pm Male reported Dodson was out of water; Dodson City contacted and situation taken care of.

8:57pm Male reported barking dogs at a neighbor’s residence; Deputy responded to the location; owner located and took care of the dogs.

9:56pm Deputy performed a traffic stop which led to one adult male, Dillon Belz, being transported to PCSO to be incarcerated on Driving While Suspended charges; male later released on bond paid.

August 17, 14

2:43am Deputy shut lights off on a vehicle outside of a local residence.

2:51am 911 received reporting an individual had fallen into a hole dug for an egress window on 3rd St W; Deputy responded to the location; male found to be okay and not injured.

3:09am Male reported a dog running loose; owner located and dog returned to residence.

9:50am Valley Co released one adult male, Scott Scheffelmear, on bond paid.

11:20am OnStar requested assistance for a vehicle stuck on the CMR; information passed onto CMR Officer.

12:33pm 911 received reporting a missing juvenile from the Cedarview area; Undersheriff responded to the call; juvenile located at a neighbor’s residence and was okay.

1:43pm Female requested a welfare check on a local male at a Cedarview Apt; Undersheriff responded to the location; no one found to be at the apartment.

3:39pm Lake Wind Advisory in effect until 10pm tonight.

August 17

5:00pm 911 received reporting “kids jumping into traffic” near the underpass; Deputy responded to the call; juveniles were gone from the area upon Deputy’s arrival.

5:13pm Male reported a theft of property and trespass to property in the Saco area; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

5:25pm Male, William Decelles, released from PCSO Jail on bond.

6:05pm Female reported a dog running loose near the PC Hospital; ACO handled the call.

8:31pm Lake Wind Advisory is canceled.

10:44pm 911 received reporting a domestic situation between two females near the Old Brand Saloon in Saco; Deputies responded to the location; all found to be okay, one female with mother has a neurological condition with violent tendencies; case file started.

August 18, 14

2:49am 911 received requesting a welfare check on the driver of a pilot car in the road construction on Route 66; Ft Belknap LE responded to the location; driver found, sleeping in vehicle, and was okay, had run out of fuel.

9:36am Female filed a verbal complaint regarding a vehicle’s music blaring in a residential neighborhood; Undersheriff responded to the call; vehicle located and advised to turn it down.

11:11am Female, Matilda Lawrence, released from PCSO Jail on own recognizance.

11:31am PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a ground transport to Billings; local EMT Crew responded to the call.

6:04pm Male brought in a found wallet; information passed onto Ft Belknap LE.

8:27pm Local business owner requested assistance with locating an owner of an abandoned camper trailer by the business; Deputy responded to the call; owner located and advised to remove it.

August 19, 14

8:30am Sheriff, Undersheriff, Deputies, Reserve Deputy and local EMT Crews reported to MHS for a mock scenario; KMMR advised of the situation.

12:23pm Reserve Deputy performed a welfare check on a disabled vehicle on Hwy 2, west of the Sleeping Buffalo; vehicle found to have blown a belt and occupants were waiting for help to arrive.

2:01pm Reserve Deputy removed debris from Hwy 2 near the airport.

2:29pm Undersheriff incarcerated one adult male, Bradley Fox, in PCSO Jail to serve sentencing time for Driving While Suspended, Reckless Driving and Endangering the Welfare of a Child charges.

5:25pm Female reported two wooden pallets on Hwy 2, east of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; pallets were removed from the location.

7:54pm Male requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving two juveniles; Deputies handled the call.

8:04pm Male, Bradley Fox, released from PCSO Jail on bond paid.

9:11pm Deputy received information regarding a disabled vehicle on Hwy 2, just west of Malta; all found to be okay, just waiting for help to arrive.

August 20, 14

7:12am Female reported debris on Hwy 2, west of Malta; Deputy responded to the call and removed the debris.

1:12pm Local convenience store reported a fuel drive off; individual located and situation taken care of.

1:53pm 911 received requesting an ambulance for an elderly female with a possibly broken arm; Deputy and local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the hospital.

6:51pm Several 911s received reporting a grass fire near Three Buttes on the reservation; all calls transferred to Ft Belknap LE.

7:13pm Border Patrol Agent reported assistance possibly needed at the PC Hospital for an individual being transported by personal vehicle; Deputies responded to the call; situation taken care of without law enforcement assistance.

10:25pm Male reported a missing dog.

August 21, 14

12:40am Local tavern requested extra patrol around the location near closing time; Deputy handled the request.

5:41am Male reported a “young kid” walking on Hwy 2, in Blaine Co, on the reservation; information passed onto Ft Belknap LE.

12:57pm Female reported a possible protection order violation; Deputy handled the call.

1:57pm Male reported finding a dog previously reported as missing.

8:36pm Female reported a hit and run to a cow north of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

9:13pm CMR Officer reported a vehicle/deer accident near the Sand Creek Station on Hwy 191 south; information passed onto Fergus Co SO.

10:59pm Deputy closed the shed door at the golf course.

August 22, 14

12:42am Female reported an individual knocking on windows of her house on 5th St E; Deputies responded to the call; no one located in the area.

3:27am Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 9pm tonight until midnight Saturday.

7:56pm Male reported the Turner Cutacross Road was closed due to a large amount of rain received and road construction; information passed onto KMMR and KPQX.

11:08am Male requested law enforcement assistance with a lease situation; Deputy responded to the call and advised the male this was a civil situation and needed to talk to the Justice of the Peace.

11:35am Female, from Australia, reported theft of traveler’s checks and needed a theft report for insurance; Deputy handled the call.

12:02pm Male from FAA requested PCSO assistance with locating an overdue plane enroot to Malta; request later canceled as the occupants of the plane called in and were okay.

2:15pm Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from 9pm tonight until midnight Saturday.

3:01pm 911 received reporting a two vehicle accident near Packy’s; Deputy responded to the location; case file started.

3:02pm Lake Wind Advisory now in effect until midnight Saturday.

4:37pm Male given Salvation Army assistance of a fuel voucher.
