Malta boys, Whitewater girls at State Golf

The Malta Golf team had a great outing at the State B golf Tournament in Shepherd at the Eagle Rock Golf Course.

Malta took ninth in state with a totals of 361 in day one and 265 in day two for a total of 726 between five golfers. Thompson Falls ultimately won the meet with a score of 641. Manhattan’s Joey Peters placed first in the individual standing with a two day score of 145.

Keenan VanWichen led the charge for the Mustangs after posting a score of 84 in day one and 81 in day two for a total of 165.

Hunter love was second amongst the Mustangs with a total score of 183. He had a total of 89 in day one and 94 in day two.

Landon VanWichen had a total of 190. He had a day one total of 94 and a total of 96 in day two.

Tyler Ost posted a score of 190, with a day one total of 96 in day one and 94 in day two.

Cru Darrah had a total of 192. His day one total was 94 and his day two total was 98.

WHITEWATER GOLF

Lady Penguin golf seniors Kayla and Kaycee Howard added more hardware to their award stockpiles after both placed at the 2015 State C Golf tournament in Shelby at the Marias Valley Golf Course last Wednesday May 13.

Kayla took eighth at the meet with a two day total of 194. Her day one total was 100 and 94 was her day two total.

Kaycee Howard took fourteenth at the meet with a two day total of 213. She had a day one total of 104 and 109 in day two.
