Residents talk community needs at CDGB hearing

Nearly 30 people met in the Great Northern Hotel Lodge Room in Malta last Tuesday night for a Community Development Block Grant public hearing to discuss the needs in the communities of Phillips County.

Those in attendance included all three Phillips County Commissioners, Rep. Mike Lang, Malta Mayor Shyla Jones as well as many of the area’s business leaders.

“This is the first meeting to kick off the whole process,” said Phillips County Commissioner Leslie Robinson of the CDBG.
