Choosing winners in this year’s VFW Auxiliary Christmas Card Contest, in its fourth year, was no easy feat.
“It took a long time this year,” said Carolyn Schmoeckel of the VFW Auxiliary. “We had a hard time because they were all so nice. It took six of us about five hours to pick the winners. They all have such great imaginations.”
The children were asked to create Christmas cards that will be sent to veterans at the Fort Harrison VA in Helena.
A total of 21 winners were announced last Thursday and each received a gift card to Dairy Queen for either $10, $5 or for a free Dilly B...
