During pinochle that same day, Clarence Blunt took first place with 5,820, Nancy Soennichsen took second with 4,790 and the traveling prize went to Harvey Smith.

In the first whist action of the New Year, Leonard Leader and Von Holzey tied for first, each scoring 65 points. Second place was earned by Jeanette Heinle who netted 46 and the traveling prize went Ken Ruzisika.
