Box store no longer mails prescriptions

The world of pharmacy is continually changing and evolving to match increased pressure and rules deemed necessary by PBMs (Pharmacy Benefit Managers) across the country.

Due to PBMs becoming more stringent on all pharmacies, prescriptions will no longer be able to be mailed by a pharmacy unless deemed as a Mail Order Pharmacy.

Recently, Wal-Mart in Havre, Mont., announced that it will no longer be able to mail prescriptions which goes into effect on Wednesday, December 1, 2016, according the store’s to a a Havre Walmart pharmacy employee.
