One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for May 21, 2017

Here’s a correction to a misprint in last week’s news. Baby Moore’s first name is “HUXTON.”

Whitewater High School Graduation was May 12. Baccalaureate was at Whitewater Lutheran Church. The pastors participated. They were Pastor Nagy, Pastor Joe Haney, and Pastor Steve Haag. Steve and family lived in Whitewater for years. Commencement was at school with four graduates: they were valedictorian Kayleigh Cummings, salutatorian Serena Sanguins, honor student Hope Lawless and Karla Santiaga.

Congratulations to all grads including eighth graders. Good luck for future.

Gale (my daughter) and I celebrated early Mother’s Day on Friday and she drove me to and from Malta.

Congratulations to all track participants including Challise. The school year is ending soon.

There was a lively dance and party at the North 40 after graduation. “Country Rock” provided the music.

Ree Simonson went to Missoula to the college graduation of their daughter. Congratulations to her and all college grads. That is a real accomplishment. Also, congratulations to Elizabeth (my sister Janet Brown’s granddaughter) for graduating from college and to also being inducted into the U.S. Army Reserves. Janet attended both ceremonies here in Whitewater.

We had our share of wind here in Whitewater (maybe we can share Chicago, Illinois title of “The Windy City.) But today the wind has gone down and it is sunny, warm and lovely out. Go pick some flowers!
