Cote new Branch Manager at Independence Bank

Independence Bank is pleased to announce that Casey Cote was recently promoted to the position of Branch Manager in Malta. He began his new position in Malta on June 5th. Cote was formerly an Ag, Commercial and Consumer Loan Officer at our Scobey Branch since 2011. In his new position, Casey will continue in his role as Ag, Commercial and Consumer Lender for the branch, but will also have operational oversight. He will fill the position created by the resignation of Cody Oxarart, who had been the Branch President in Malta since 2012, and left to pursue a full-time career in ranching.

Casey grew up in Scobey, Montana. After graduating from Scobey High in 2002, Casey attended the University of Montana. While in college, he enlisted in the Army, joining the 163rd Infantry and served a year deployment in Iraq. After returning from his service, he continued his education in Missoula and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, with an emphasis in Finance.

“We are very pleased to see Casey move into a leadership role with Independence Bank. He has been an outstanding loan officer for us in Scobey, and we look forward to his continued growth in this new position,” said Miles Hamilton, CEO and President of Independence Bank. “His knowledge of the is-sues and concerns facing our customers along the Hi-Line, along with his banking experience, make him a great fit for this position.”

Cote looks forward to continuing to serve the financial needs of our customers throughout the area. He is joined in Malta by his wife Jamie and their four children – Makayla, Liv, Cruz and Nox. They stay busy with their kids, and enjoy fishing, hunting, and golfing with family and friends along the Hi-Line.
