Sautter named Chamber Director

Ann Sautter owner and operator of Blades Day Spa in Malta has a new position, the Executive Director of Malta Chamber of Commerce.

She was hired on Friday, November 17.

Sautter has been interested in the position throughout her four year tenure as a director.

She has been an owner and Chamber member for 19 years, since she opened Blades in 1999.

She looks forward to helping economic growth amongst local business.

"Our mission is to promote the community and its' businesses in Phillips County, so I look forward to helping the board achieve that," Sautter said. "There are nine members on the board and I have really enjoyed being a part of the Chamber, so that is why I applied for the position."

She gave praise to her predecessor Dina Meneely, who stepped down earlier this year.

"We have acquired a lot in the last two years while Dina was the executive director and I hope to carry that on and expand in a few different areas."

Her responsibilities will include attending Merchants' meetings, Chamber Board meetings and Chamber Membership meetings. She will also attend a few PhillCo meetings throughout the year.
