The Malta High School Speech and Drama team concluded their 2017-18 season at the state meet in Huntley Project where five students participated and freshman Turk Salsbery took seventh place.
The team's season started in late October and over eight events, the eight competitors found successes along the way.
"It was a great season," said Coach Anna LaBrie. "I think everyone improved over the course of the year and that is what I am really looking for."
Coach LaBrie pointed to co-Coach Robert Twiggs for the success the debate teams had during the year.
