On Tuesday, April 3, Von Holzhey notched 46 to take first, Lee Stevens' 43 was good for second and the traveling prize was awarded to Leonard Leader.

Pinochle

Kevin Stevens was high-man with 7,400, Malcolm Clouse was next best with 6,200 and Clarence Blunt was awarded the traveling prize.

Hi-Line Whist

On Tuesday, April 3, Lois and Clara got the first win by a 13-4 tally before Francis and Pearl pealed off two straight victories — 14-7 and 15-8 — to capture the day's crown.

"They did great and then we came back," Pearl said.

On Friday, April 6, Pearl and Francis won the first game 13-1 before the teams were shuffled and the Pearl and Agnes won the next two contests over Lois and Clara, 13-3 and Grand Slam to 2.

"The cards were in our favor, but I am sure they will give it to us good next time," Pearl said.
