AMX racing season ends in Dodson

Eleven racers were present at The Dodson Speedway on Saturday, September 15, as the Dodson Fairgrounds held it's last AMX racing event of the season.

The winner of the Stock B Main R&G Quality Feeds sponsored trophy was car #199 David Jaynes of Malta. #110 Caleb Hiatt of Great Falls took the B Main's second place trophy.

The Super Stock A Main trophy (sponsored by First Security Bank) was won by #101E Mike Plouffe of Malta. The second place trophy (sponsored by Hardware Hank) was taken by #7 Jamie Jaynes of Dodson.

The Stock A Main first place trophy (sponsored by The First State Bank) was won by #555 Dustin McKinney of Great Falls. The second place trophy (sponsored by Sid Hould Family) went to #312E Dave McCoy of Lewistown.

The Hard Luck trophy sponsored by Sid Hould Family was won by #555 Dusty Dowell of Malta; Race of Champions was won by Plouffe.

Not enough cars were running for the Pitman or Powderpuff races to be run. Other cars and drivers were #04 Keith Cowan of Turner, #98E William "Bean" Simanton of Malta , #217 Anthony Jaynes of Sand Coulee, and #258 Brett Jaynes of Dodson.

“There was one roll over and the driver was not hurt as the weather made excellent driving conditions to go fast,” Millie Kindle said.
