Old School Three-Peats in Co-Ed League

For the third consecutive season, the team named Malta Old School became champions of the Malta Parks and Recreation Co-Ed Basketball League, as they defeated top-ranked Alley-Oops 56-46 in the league’s championship game on Tuesday, February 26, at the Malta City Hall building.

The game capped off the Parks and Recreations’ five-week Co-Ed Basketball League which started on Wednesday, January 23.

Captain Caitlin Anderson was asked what were the most important factors in her team’s win over Alley-Oops.

“Definitely defense and hedging out on their shooters,” Anderson said.
