30th Malta Walleyes Banquet

For the eighth year, Malta Walleyes Unlimited gave out $500 scholarships to Phillips County students. This year's scholarships were given to Lily Maxie, Chayana Stolem, and Payton Clausen. Konner Kuehn also received a $500 scholarship but is away at college.

Hundreds packed into the Malta City Hall gymnasium last Saturday night to celebrate the 30th Annual Malta Walleyes Unlimited Banquet with food, friends, and fun.

"I really want to thank all the volunteers, businesses and of course, all of you, for once again coming out and supporting us," Malta Walleye's President Jim Mayer told the banquet goers. "With your help, hopefully, we can keep kids fishing and using a tackle box instead of an Xbox."
