Dodson News for September 4, 2019

September 4, 2019

A full weekend and a half of school has been in session, keeping kids busy again. We had rain again and the night temperatures are getting lower. We pray it doesn't frost too soon.

Dolores Shettel had the services at the Lutheran Church on Sunday. Orvin Solberg did the sermon.

Dolores and Jim and daughter and husband went to the Fort Peck Theater on Sunday afternoon.

Dora Henry had her second eye surgery and spent Thursday and Friday in Havre being checked on. Bill and Marilyn Henry brought her home Friday evening.

Carol and Dean Kienenberger were working cattle on Sunday.

Birthday greetings to Patti Dolphay and all others celebrating another year. Congratulations to them.

Wink Cole celebrated his 85th birthday at the home of daughter and son in law, Patty and Thom Vaughan in Laurel, Mont. Ten of their eleven children were there and approximately 40 of their 50 grands and great grands. Thom roasted a huge brisket and the others brought lots of delicious food. The Vaughan's have a large pond in their back yard, which made for a wonderful time for the grandkids, plus some of the "older" ones. For a gift, all the grandchildren wrote a letter to Grandpa to tell him how much he meant to each of them. Wink and Terri came home Sunday afternoon.

Great moments often catch us unaware-beautifully wrapped in what others may consider small ones. Top of the week to you all.
