The North Country Mavericks Volleyball team was able to make short work of the Nashua Porcupines on Tuesday, October 15, in Nashua. The scores were 25-10, 25-4, and 25-13.

The Mavericks had a short week as far as games went last week, but this week things will pick up as they are scheduled to have three straight nights of games starting Thursday.

The Mavericks have a full week as they have games in Whitewater on Thursday and Friday, taking on the Harlem Wildcats and Lustre Christian Lions respectively, with both events starting at 5 p.m. The Harlem game will feature JV action while the Lustre game will be varsity only.

North Country will travel to Fairview on Saturday, October 26, to take on the Fairview Warriors at 5:30 p.m. The junior varsity teams will kick off the event, followed be varsity at roughly 5:50 p.m.

In their win over Nashua, North Country had a total of 28 kills, led by Jaydyn Erickson who had 10 kills. Kia Wasson had eight kills and Kaitlyn McColly had three.

The Mavericks also had 26 aces, 10 of which came from McColly. Danika Soper had nine aces and Wasson had four. Jaycee Erickson had 20 of North Country’s 26 assists and Danika Soper had five.

The team only registered thirteen digs. Soper and Wasson each had five.
