Construction News for March 11, 2020

Workers took the wooden blocks out from underneath the home having a new basement built near the Phillips County Courthouse.

I also watched workers do some wood cutting for new light outside of the Villa Theatre. When they are done, I will be taking those workers to Dairy Queen for lunch, supper, or dessert.

Another thing going on in town is the snow has been melting and it is very muddy near where they are building the new Armory in Malta. Once it dries up a little, I will get out there and take some new pictures of the progress being made at that location.

Today I learned that the Phillips Transit will soon begin construction of a new bus barn that will be located behind the Phillips County Hospital and Hi-Line Retirement Center. The new bus barn will allow the drivers to park their busses indoors in the winter and keep them clean year-round as the bus barn will have a wash bay.
