Kourtney grew up north of Loring, MT on the family farm & ranch. In 2015 she graduated from Whitewater High School. Kourtney attended Rocky Mountain College in Billings and throughout her first two years as a Battlin’ Bear, Kourtney played basketball and ran track. Earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a minor in Organizational Leadership, she graduated from Rocky in the spring of 2019.

“We are very excited to add Kourtney to our lending team at Independence Bank,” said Casey Cote, Branch President. “Her background and familiarity of the area, as well as her knowledge of the issues facing our borrowers make her a great addition to our lending team. We look forward to Kourtney’s continued growth in Ag, Commercial and Consumer lending in her new position.”

Simonson is the oldest daughter of Matt and Heather Simonson and has enjoyed being back on the Hi-Line and a part of the community. In these crazy times being close to home has been a blessing. In her free time, Kourtney enjoys quality time with family and friends, all the outdoor activities, and helping out on the family ranch.
