Scouts to take over Milk River Mocha

Phillips County area Girl Scout Troops, ranging in age from kindergarten to fifth grade, will be taking over Milk River Mocha on three Sundays starting this Sunday, March 28, followed by April 11 and April 18. On each day, the scouts will be at the kiosk from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., to sell Girl Scout cookies.

The area troop leaders, Janessa Salsbery, Maci Hould, Jasmine Young, and Mariah Marino, together decided that for the safety of the girls, they wouldn't do door to door sales this year. The girls have had to come up with other ways to get their delicious cookie sales out.

"I am really proud of how creative the girls have gotten and the ideas they have come up with to get their sales." Salsbery said. "Some of the girls have done online sales and some have even done little sale videos to send out to their family and friends."

She also said that the group got the idea for the "Take Over" from what the Boy Scouts did this past summer at Joe's In and Out.

Salsbery said that the scouts are always looking to learn, and that if anyone in the community has a talent that they would like to share with the scouts, they are more than welcome to do so.

"We have so many talented people in the community," Salsbery said. "I'm hoping that a few would like to share with these girls some of the job oriented and artistic abilities that they have."

So head on out to Milk River Mocha, support these girls and get your Girl Scout cookie fix!
