Coyotes Lose Close Game to Turner

The Dodson Coyotes basketball team fell in a close game against the Turner Tornadoes on Monday, December 19, in Dodson.

The final score was 65-58.

The Coyotes are scheduled to take on Roy-Winifred in Winifred on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. They will then go to Poplar on Saturday, January 7, at 1 p.m. to take on the Class B Poplar Indians.

The Coyotes were led by Junior Stiffarm who had 25 points, which included four treys. He scored 18 points in the first half. Mikey Jaynes scored 24 points. Tanner Ball had nine points and Mason LoneBear had two points.

The Coyotes outscored Turner 17-15 in the first quarter and kept their lead going into halftime. The score at halftime was 25-24. Turner turned things around in the third quarter outsourcing Dodson 18-8, and earned a 42-33 lead going into the fourth quarter. Dodson scored 15 in the fourth quarter and Turner scored 13.
