One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, April 19, 2023

It is spring!! The snow is melted, and we can see bare ground. It’s wonderful, after so much winter!

However, be careful while driving or walking, the roads are still covered in some places.

Jeanie Green sold all her sheep and dogs. It was sad. Jeanie is thinking about moving to Arizona. She flew to Arizona to look into various rentals. Rent is very high there. She will be back in about a week from now.

“Hello” to Irene Wendayln (my friend). She said there was so much snow and now it’s all melting fast. There is water running all over. This is typical Chinook weather.

Easter Sunday in Whitewater, the Lutheran Church was full. The Hammond’s entire family was in church. A lovely brunch was served before the service and had a very nice service.

Monday Paul and Leona Siewing took me to Sleeping Buffalo to swim, I just sit in the hot pool. We had pizza and birthday cake. Thank you to the Siewings and to everyone who gave me birthday cards and gifts.

In the Whitewater area, as well as most of Montana, ranchers are calving. Nice weather really helps the cows and the calves too.

The Math family took cattle to the livestock sale in Glasgow. Hope it went well.

Birds are returning to my trees and the mourning doves are here.

Enjoy spring!

Helen A.
