Montana's First Lady Promotes Reading Program

Montana's First Lady, Susan Gianforte, has a program available to children from birth to age five to encourage reading. With the assistance of a grant, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program is available statewide.

Phillips County librarian, Janeen Brookie, says at this time she has 37 young readers taking advantage of the program. The program offers a book a month to those enrolled in the program.

To begin receiving books, children can enroll online by downloading the QR code icon on the posters around town. If parents have any questions they can stop by the PC Library and visit with Janeen. This is a great way to begin building a child's home library.
