Carnahan Selected as Patriot's Pen Winner

Ellis Carnahan, an eighth grade student at Malta Middle School, was selected as the author of the 2023-2024 Patriot's Pen Essay Contest. He was recognized at an assembly at the Malta High School auditorium, along with third place winner, Jace Tollefson. Ellis was presented with a check in the amount of $100 for his entry, Tollefson received a check for $50. Austin Hofer, student at the East Malta Hutterite Colony, was recognized in February as the second-place winner, he was recipient of a check for $75.
