    The Malta Wrestling Teams competed at the Cut Bank Booster Invitational this past weekend. The Mustangs placed ninth out of 25 boys teams with a total of 102 points. The M-ettes were 16th out of 22 girls teams with 23 points. Malta was led by Mustang Kohner "Chaka" Schipman who earned first place and 32 points in the 138 pound class.     The Malta M-ettes split a pair of games in their first week of action in 2024. Malta fell 60-34 to the Class A State Champion Havre Blue Ponies on Thursday, January 4, in Malta. The M-ettes bounced back to defeat the rival Glasgow Scotties 50-35 on Saturday, January 6, at MHS.     The Dodson basketball teams faced Frazer and Lustre to kick off the new year. The Coyotes picked up a 75-48 win over the Frazer Bearcubs on Saturday, January 6, but fell 83-28 to the Lustre Christian Lions on Friday, January 5.     The deadline for Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks new Migratory Bird Stamp art contest is now Jan. 31. The Wetlands Protection Advisory Council will select the winning piece of art in February.     The North Country Mavericks basketball team hosted the Scobey Spartans in Saco last Saturday. The Spartans won 63-41 despite a late 16-5 run in the fourth quarter by the Mavs. The Mavericks were led by Blaine Downing, who scored 15 points. Coy Bowman had 10 points.     A man accused of making threats to blow up the Dodson school admitted to a hoax crime on Jan. 8, U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich said today. Jacob Edwin Wilson, a transient, pleaded guilty to false information and hoaxes as charged in an indictment.
