With Travis Somerfeld stepping down as golf coach and taking on the role as Activities Director at Malta High School, the school has hired MHS and MMS counselor and former Whitewater Golf standout, Kate Webb, as head coach.     Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks biologists completed their surveys of the Missouri River Breaks elk hunting districts (HD) 621, 622, 631, and 632 in February. Overall, the surveys showed that elk numbers are over the current population objectives for each respective portion of the Breaks.     Charles Kienenberger, 86 of Malta, Montana passed away peacefully on April 5th, 2020. Charles was born December 23, 1933, to Walter C. and Ruth (Shaw) Kienenberger at the family ranch north of Dodson, Mont. He attended long View School until the 8th grade, at which time he stayed at home to work the family ranch. In 1955 Charles and brother Dean formed a partnership and they worked that together until 1972 when Rocky Ridge Ranch was formed.
