    This Saturday was the demise of many gophers in our area. A total of 28 were out seeing the sites and stopped in Loring at the Fire Hall fundraiser! The youngest person was Ivan Lefdahl, about 10-12 years old, teaming up with his grandpa Vic Lefdahl. I'm not sure who the oldest was... Many of the teams came in at noon for grilled burgers, fried onions, and French fries! Kenny Clark was the ramrod for the event.     The Montana State University Northern Volleyball Skylights are delighted to announce the signing of Jada Sudbrack into the volleyball family. Jada is a 6’0” middle hitter from Saco High School in Montana. Jada was awarded first team All-Conference, and Academic All-State her freshman year, first team All-Conference, Academic All-State, and All-State selection in her sophomore, junior and senior years.     The State Music Festival takes place on Friday, May 4, through Saturday, May 5 at Billings Skyview High School. Like Malta High, both Saco High School and Whitewater High School of District 12 participated in the District 12 Music Festival on Friday, April 13 through Saturday, April 14. The Saco Men’s jazz Choir earned a Superior rating at the District Festival, earning them a place at state.
