Please remember to file a new burn permit for the 2015 year. If you plan on doing any burning in 2015, please file one BEFORE you start to burn. These permits are good for all of 2015 and you only have to file one a year, not every time you burn. All 2014 permits will no longer be valid after December 31, 2014. Thank you!

February 12, 2015

10:18 a.m. Female reported her neighbor’s dogs had been barking all week; Deputy handled the call.

1:05 p.m. Deputies assisted with traffic control for individuals moving cattle across Hwy 191 south of Malta.

1:35 p.m. Female brought in a found medical kit for a juvenile; parent located and kit returned to the owner.

2:38 p.m. Female reported dogs running loose and defecating in their business parking lot; information passed onto ACO.

4:47 p.m. Male reported a possible break-in to a storage shed in the Nelson Reservoir area; Sheriff responded to the call; all found to be okay and nothing taken.

4:55 p.m. Male reported a stolen firearm; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

11:00 p.m. BNSF Police reported a vehicle near a switch in the 1st Ave W area; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay, vehicle had driven behind the businesses to turn around.

February 13, 2015

2:33 p.m. Male reported fireworks or gunshots coming from the Malta Grade School area; Reserve Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay, kids had been popping balloons on the playground.

6:07 p.m. MHP Dispatch received a report of tire tread debris on Hwy 2, west of Saco; Deputy responded to the call; debris located and removed from the Hwy.

February 14, 2015

1:19 a.m. Female requested an ambulance for a male having a diabetic reaction; Deputies and local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the hospital.

12:00 p.m. Reserve Deputy performed a welfare check on a vehicle alongside of Hwy 2; all found to be okay, driver was using his cell phone.

2:35 p.m. Male reported a missing dog in the Wagner area.

9:41 p.m. Male reported vehicles speeding in the Saco area; Deputies responded to the call; all vehicles seen were driving fine.

February 15, 2015

5:22 a.m. Female reported her vehicle had been taken without permission and had been returned totaled; Deputies responded to the call; case file started; local Border Patrol Agents also assisted with the pursuit of the suspect; subject not located.

10:53 a.m. Male reported a break-in to a business in Dodson; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

5:21 p.m. Female reported a male hitchhiking on Hwy 2, west of Malta; male matched the description of the suspect from the stolen vehicle case file; Deputies responded to the location; one adult male, Keith Baylor, taken into custody and transported to PCSO to be incarcerated on Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle, Obstruction, Fail to Remain on Scene of an Accident, Fail to Report an Accident, Resisting Arrest, Probation Violation, all Misdemeanors, and Felony-Criminal Mischief charges.

February 16, 2015

12:32 a.m. Female reported a possible assault that had occurred at a local residence; Deputies responded to the call; case file started.

3:08 a.m. Female reported another possible assault; Deputies responded to the call; female transported to the PC Hospital for evaluation; information added to existing case file.

7:42 a.m. Male reported hitting a deer west of Malta; Undersheriff responded to the call; white form issued.

8:54 a.m. Female reported a scam.

9:20 a.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving a vehicle sale; Undersheriff handled the call.

9:26 a.m. Anonymous reported dogs barking constantly in the Hillcrest area; Deputies handled the call.

1:48 p.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pickup from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew responded to the call.

5:03 p.m. Undersheriff reported a vehicle/crane accident near Westside; Deputies responded to the location; case file started.

5:52 p.m. Deputy requested sand be put out on Hwy 2 near the two junctions with Hwy 191; information passed onto MT Dept of Transportation employee.

7:07 p.m. Male reported erratic vehicles driving in a residential area and requested extra patrol in the area; information passed onto Deputy.

February 17, 2015

8:52 a.m. Female reported a vehicle speeding down 5th Ave east by the Malta Ready Mix; Undersheriff handled the call.

1:16 p.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pickup from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew responded to the call.

2:02 p.m. Male reported his neighbor’s dogs were out running loose; information passed onto ACO.

2:52 p.m. Deputies transported one adult male, Keith Baylor, to Valley Co Detention Center.

3:04 p.m. Female reported lending her vehicle to family members and they had not returned yet; Undersheriff responded to the call; vehicle not located in Malta.

3:05 p.m. Female reported a semi truck trailer blocking a residential alley; Undersheriff handled the call.

7:53 p.m. Male reported a fender/bender near the old MHS gym and had already moved the vehicles; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

February 18, 2015

5:27 a.m. Great Falls PD served a local warrant on Holly Hackman and incarcerated her on that charge.

8:09 a.m. Female reported two dogs running loose in the Hillcrest area; ACO handled the call.

2:31 p.m. 911s received requesting assistance for a suicidal female in the Saco area; Saco EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the Glasgow Hospital.

8:16 p.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving a juvenile; Deputy handled the call.

February 19, 2015

11:14 a.m. Male reported a vehicle driving erratic on Hwy 2, westbound; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle not located.

6:06 p.m. Male reported an erratic vehicle in a residential area; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle not located.

6:22 p.m. Male reported a bag of stolen items had been given to him in the Dodson area; Deputy responded to the call; items removed from the location.

8:36 p.m. Female reported a suspicious vehicle had been parking by her residence and taking pictures; Deputy responded to the call; no vehicles located in the area.

9:58 p.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for a female who couldn’t breathe; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the hospital.

February 20, 2015

9:10 a.m. Male requested a welfare check on a male at a local apartment complex; Deputy responded to the call; male found to be okay.

10:38 a.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for a male who collapsed in a local business; call later canceled and person transported by personal vehicle.

11:06 a.m. Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 6pm Saturday until 6am Sunday for Phillips Co.

11:25 a.m. Male reported a vehicle speeding by his residence every day in the Saco area; information passed onto Deputy.

2:11 p.m. Male reported individuals trespassing at the Old MHS Gym; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay, individual was supposed to be there.

2:55 p.m. MT Dept of Transportation employees brought in found property from a possible accident; Deputy handled the call.

6:30 p.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pickup from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew responded to the call.

8:47 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with threats received by a family member; Deputy handled the call.

9:42 p.m. Deputy performed a welfare check on a vehicle parked in a private drive off Hwy 243, north of Saco; all found to be okay and advised him to move on.
